Gentry’s 1st Birthday

September 10, 2007

birthday.jpg

Today was Gentry’s first birthday, not that the house was in a very celebratory mood considering he’s had a fever since last friday. We did sing happy birthday and feast on egg free, dairy free, nut free cupcakes (and they were actually really good). Gentry however wanted nothing to do with it. Micah finally shoved some in his mouth and he was extremely offended. Hopefully we’ll be fever free tonight, my five hours of sleep last night tore me up. By the way look closely at Micah’s hair in the fam picture. He’s got his sides pulled back and the rest in a ponytail (eat your heart out Charlie the Intern).

Ami…what a fabulous picture of you! However, I would like to add that Micah looks like a Rabbi! (not that it is not a good look) I’m schvitzing! Mazel Tov, Micah!

What a great picture! Gentry is looking at his cake like it is th enemy. Grey is looking at Gentry’s cake like can I have? And you and Micah look rested and glowing. Who knew you’ve been getting up every night with the baby. Wish I could have been there. love mom

Yeah, forgot I had the hair up and the hassidic curls dangling. I have to admit it’s starting to bother me, getting in my face… Why can’t I learn Yiddish? I hear it frequently enough that you’d think I’d pick up on a phrase or two, but it just never sticks with me. I need a rabboni, Laura. Ami, there’s no comparison for me and Chuck’s hair.

Ami, I’m sorry Gentry has been sick! Give him a hug for me. Poor little guy! I know how he feels. I’m sorry I missed his birthday. Tell him I said happy birthday and I love him!

    Dad, here’s the translation

Oh honey, you’re beautiful to me. I burst with happiness at my brilliant man.

Laura, we should get to gether for some gossip and snacking, you make me explode with laughter.

I know I know, it loses something in translation
