My first quilt

August 8, 2007

I’ve tried my hand at other sewing projects (usually not too sucessfully), but I’m going to try and make a quilt for Logan. The benefit we went to last weekend was for Logan’s up and coming heart surgery and I thought it might be nice for him to have a cute little quilt to keep him warm in the hospital. I found these awsome retro fabrics from Michael Miller and some black Minkee (the super soft velour that you see on kids toys) that was on sale. I plan to put a little pocket on the back for his “treasures”, since 3yr old little boys always seem to have a treasure or two in their pockets. The fabric should be here on Thursday so stay tuned for progress reports.

Love the fabric choices! I’m always on the lookout for vintage patterns. Where did you get them from?

Baby and toddler quilts are the best. I love making them. Best of luck on this one. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I found them at craftconn.com, it’s linked under my “fabrics”. Then have all kinds of really great stuff you just have to hunt for it, it’s a poorly organized site.

Good choices for fabric, babe. I appreciate what you’re doing for little Logan.
