Surprise Surprise, we woke up Sat. morning to…
“Mommy, my belly hurts, I don’t feel berry good.”
“what have you done Grey?”
“It’s in the bathroom, it was uncle Eby’s slip”
“Uncle Ebens’ what? what did you eat Grey?”
“I just wanted some chwocwat….”
So Grey had eaten some of Eben’s dip. We called poison control and they said that he would probably vomit, but don’t force him to, go ahead and feed him, and watch him closely (because it can cause seizures in small children, micah decided to omit this information until the next day). So I think we are just going to have to start locking his door, no other alternative.
We went to Tendai’s birthday party Sat. night. It was at his brothers house (next door), they had it in the basement which was equiped with all of your party needs, including a projection tv, sauna, d.j., and bar. I don’t really know if the cake was a hit or not but one of the quests happen to be a pastry chef for the Maker’s Mark Lounge and she really loved it. We had a great time and stayed until a little after 1am. We had planned to stay at Micah’s uncles house in Louisville, but like all old people we wanted to sleep in our own bed, so we got home about 2:30. Of course Gentry woke up and was up until 3:30ish. She we spent the next day taking shifts sleeping trying to make up for it.
By the way Vladimir is getting pretty big, he’s already up to around 30lbs. at 14 weeks.

There’s another Schulz baby on the way, due Sept 17th, but if you look at the last two babes history says the baby will be here at least a week early. It would be really cool if s/he came on the 10th (Gentry’s b-day). That would be cool because my brother and I share the same birthday, and then we would have children that share the same birthday. So congrats Brian and Jen. Love you lots!!!

So the finance fairy has been sprinkling some luster dust around here lately.
I always thoug
ht that we were going to retire at 68…like everyone else and that sounded seriously depressing when you consider that it’s 42 years away. But a little birdy wispered in Micah’s ear that at the pace we were putting money away we can retire much earlier. So last night the Excel wizard worked his magic and did some projections to see when we could “really” retire. And DUDE! If we have one more baby when we are planning to (not that we might not have more), we can retire when she graduates high school. Now that sounds REALLY COOL!
I can totally get on board with the idea of sending the last little bugger off to school, closing down the house for the winter and going on a six month vacation. That sounds like a perfect trasition into our “Golden Years”. And all of my body parts might still be within six inches of their starting points.
